As a Systems Engineer, you’ll design, integrate, and optimize complex systems that drive the semiconductor industry forward. Your expertise in systems thinking and problem‑solving is essential as you collaborate with cross‑functional teams to develop advanced solutions to intricate processes and writing system specifications. You’ll be responsible for analyzing requirements, defining system architectures, conducting thorough testing, and ensuring seamless integration of subsystems. Additionally, you’ll identify and mitigate risks, confirming that our systems meet the highest quality standards and exceed customer expectations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and implement automation and control systems for various applications.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to automation, control, and data connectivity systems.
  • Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to identify automation opportunities and requirements.
  • Develop and maintain documentation for automation, control, and data connectivity processes and systems.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and best practices in automation, control, and Industry 4.0.
  • Ensure the uptime and reliability of all equipment and systems.
  • Deliver sustainable automation and control solutions that support long‑term operational goals.
Functional Knowledge
  • Deep understanding of robotics applications, including robotic system integration, collaborative robots (cobots), and AI in robotics.
  • Proficiency in vision systems engineering, including machine vision, image processing algorithms, and integration with automated equipment.
  • Experience with assembly automation, including robotic arms, automated guided vehicles (AGVs), and conveyor systems.
  • Knowledge of packaging automation, including automated packaging machinery, case erectors, palletizers, and stretch wrap machines.
  • Expertise in electrical automation, including the design and implementation of control systems, sensors, and actuators to monitor and regulate electrical processes.
  • Familiarity with electrical circuits, power systems, and control theory to create customized automation solutions.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Python, Groovy, and JavaScript.
  • Knowledge of network protocols and communication standards (e.g., TCP/IP, SNMP).
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms and services (e.g., AWS, Azure, VMware).
  • Understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) and agile methodologies.
  • Expertise in PLC programming and SCADA systems.
  • Experience with PID tuning, HMI development, and industrial networking.
  • Knowledge of AutoCAD Electrical and LabVIEW.
  • Familiarity with data connectivity, including data integration, data warehousing, and data visualization.
  • Understanding of Industry 4.0 technologies such as IoT, AI, machine learning, and cyber‑physical systems.
Business Expertise
  • Ability to align automation, control, and data connectivity strategies with business goals and objectives.
  • Experience in analyzing business processes to identify automation and control opportunities.
  • Understanding of industry‑specific regulations and compliance requirements.
  • Capability to assess the financial trade‑offs when designing and selecting automation, control, and data connectivity projects.
Leadership
  • Lead and mentor a team of junior automation, control, and data connectivity engineers.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to team members.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the automation, control, and data connectivity team.
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
Problem Solving
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills to diagnose and resolve automation, control, and data connectivity issues.
  • Ability to develop innovative solutions to complex automation, control, and data connectivity challenges.
  • Experience in conducting root cause analysis and implementing corrective actions.
  • Proficiency in using diagnostic tools and techniques to identify system inefficiencies.
