Job summary

US Conec, Ltd. is seeking a hands-on Automation Engineering Support Technician to maintain, troubleshoot, and improve automated manufacturing equipment used in producing precision fiber optic connectivity products.

The role collaborates with Engineering, Maintenance, Production, Quality, and outside vendors to maximize equipment performance, safety, and manufacturing efficiency while supporting Lean initiatives and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

Two or more years of experience supporting automated assembly equipment in a production environment.
Experience troubleshooting electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and electro‑mechanical equipment.
Familiarity with industrial robotics, PLCs, HMIs, servo motion systems, sensors, and machine vision systems.

Responsibilities

Support installation, startup, maintenance, and troubleshooting of automated manufacturing equipment, including robotics, PLC-controlled systems, HMIs, servo systems, vision inspection equipment, conveyors, and pneumatic devices.
Respond to production equipment issues by diagnosing root causes and coordinating repairs to minimize downtime.
Perform preventive and predictive maintenance activities to improve equipment reliability and extend life.
Assist Automation Engineers with equipment performance, production trials, process improvements, and implementation of new automation technologies.
