Job summary
Phillips 66 is seeking an Automation Specialist to support installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of automation equipment including PLCs, RTUs, DCS, and HMIs. Qualifications
- Associate’s degree or higher in Instrumentation, Electronics, Industrial Electronics, or related technical discipline.
- 3 years of relevant automation experience.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Proficiency in PLC/DCS configuration and troubleshooting.
- Experience with Rockwell, Siemens, Foxboro or DeltaV platforms.
Responsibilities
- Design, program, configure, test, and implement automation solutions for manual and business processes
- Build and maintain relationships with vendors and partners for automation technologies and support
- Implement and support distributed control systems (DCS), PLCs, RTUs, and HMIs
- Troubleshoot, maintain, and enhance automation equipment and systems for safety and reliability
- Direct technicians and contractors in construction and enhancement of automation systems
- Lead data collection, system optimization, and communications infrastructure
- Produce and maintain project documentation including I/O lists, alarm databases, control narratives, and drawings
- Support and implement information security measures for automation assets
- Participate in incident investigations and continuous improvement initiatives
- Travel to facilities as needed for operations and commissioning (FAT/SAT)
