Job summary

Aequor in South San Francisco, CA is seeking an Automation Specialist to support cell culture automation initiatives on-site. You will help design, program, and troubleshoot automated workflows and liquid handling systems, ensuring reliable operation and data integrity.

Required candidates will have hands-on experience with Hamilton, Biomek, Opentron and BioTek washers, plus familiarity with LIMS and automation scheduling software.

Qualifications

• Must have experience in automation of cell culture.
• Hands-on experience in Laboratory automation / liquid handling.
• Experience operating, programming, and integrating automation instrumentation (Hamilton, Biomek, Opentron, BioTek washers).
• PhD with 0-3 years of experience or Masters with 4-6 years of experience in relevant fields is required.
• Experience with automation scheduling software (e.g. GreenButtonGo, Thermo Momentum, HiRes Cellario) highly preferred.
• Experience with LIMS.
• Hands-on experience with Automation troubleshooting/Automation instrumentation integration.
• Must have experience with Cell based assays.

Required skills

• Must have experience in automation of cell culture
• Hands‑on experience in Laboratory automation / liquid handling
• Experience operating, programming, and integrating automation instrumentation (Hamilton, Biomek, Opentron, BioTek washers)
• PhD with 0-3 years of experience or Masters with 4-6 years of experience in biomedical engineering, chemical engineering, mechanical engineering, biomaterials, immunology, pharmacology, cellular or molecular biology, toxicology, pharmaceutical sciences, or a related field is required
• Experience with automation scheduling software (e.g. GreenButtonGo, Thermo Momentum, HiRes Cellario, etc.) is highly preferred
• Experience with LIMS
• Hands‑on experience with Automation troubleshooting/Automation instrumentation integration
• Must have experience with Cell based assays
