Job summary

Citizens Alliance Bank in Clara City, MN is seeking an Automation Specialist I to plan and develop low-code workflow automations, applications, and data storage to improve processes. The role collaborates with managers across departments and ensures workflows follow standards.

Job Title: Automation Specialist

Overview

The Automation Specialist I will be responsible for planning and developing low-code workflow automations, applications, and data storage to improve processes and systems. Collaborates cross-functionally to find feasible solutions to needed improvements. Defines and documents automation processes and ensures development adheres to standards. Mentors and guides other employees to promote best practices and ensure workflows are understood and followed.

Responsibilities
  • Plan and develop low-code workflow automations, applications, and data storage to improve processes and systems.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with managers, supervisors, and staff to meet workflow development objectives.
  • Escalate complex issues to the appropriate resource or department manager as needed to resolve workflow disruptions.
  • Independently manage work schedules and monitor workflow progress to meet deadlines.
  • Receive assignments with defined objectives or user stories and work to achieve goals.
  • Develop, analyze, and maintain workflows using Power Platform or other low-code automation/RPA tools.
  • Participate in team projects for planning, scheduling, and delivery, including timelines and cost estimates.
  • Generate departmental reports and manage basic databases as applicable.
  • Work with business units or development teams to ensure end-to-end solutions meet requirements.
  • Participate in testing workflows and implement changes as needed.
  • Identify performance improvements and recommend enhancements.
  • Support bank employees with automation/low-code technical issues.
  • Promote teamwork and encourage individual contributions.
  • Maintain and improve workflows by monitoring performance, resolving problems, and conducting analyses.
  • Take ownership of new requests and seek opportunities to add value.
  • Determine workflow strategies through ongoing needs assessments.
  • Contribute information and analysis to organizational strategic plans.
  • Maintain working knowledge of regulatory requirements related to safety, compliance, and operations.
Qualifications
  • Required: High school diploma or GED. Continuing education to maintain job knowledge.
  • Preferred: One to three years of banking, IT, software, or technical experience.
  • Preferred: Administrative experience and/or customer service experience.
  • Preferred: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

  • This position requires a valid driver’s license.
