Job summary

Audubon Companies in Metairie, LA seeks an Automation Specialist to design, develop, and deploy SCADA-based applications for internal tools and client deployments on‑premises and in the cloud.

You will work with ICONICS Genesis 64 and modern web stacks (HTML/CSS/JS, Node.js, Python, .NET) while leveraging AWS/Azure services for scalable architectures and responsive interfaces.

Qualifications

• Solid understanding of SCADA programming fundamentals and ICONICS Genesis 64 tools (BridgeWorX, ReportWorX, AnalytiX).
• Frontend proficiency with HTML, CSS3, JavaScript, jQuery, JSON, AJAX.
• Backend proficiency in Node.js, Python, or .NET.
• Experience building modern application stacks and responsive web design.
• Experience with AWS and/or Azure services is a plus.
• Knowledge of database design, ingestion, and data access layers.
• Bachelor’s degree in CS or related field is required.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, debug, configure, and document software solutions for internal tools and client deployments.
• Implement tools/techniques to improve programming efficiency and quality.
• Participate in end-to-end software development lifecycle for SCADA/automation projects.
• Collaborate across teams to deploy on-premises and cloud solutions.
• Follow through on issues until resolution.

Job description

The Automation Specialist's scope of work will include design, development, and deployment of application solutions ranging from custom developed internal tools to fully deployed client on-premises and cloud solutions.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

• 1-3+ years’ experience in the implementation and programming of SCADA application.
• Experience with ICONICS Genesis 64 is a plus.
• Various other SCADA platform experience such as Wonderware System Platform / Ignition / ClearSCADA is a plus.
• Participates in designing, coding, testing, debugging, configuring, and documenting software.
• Implement tools and techniques to increase programming efficiency and quality.
• Willingness to follow through with an issue until resolved.

EXPERIENCE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS

• Solid understanding of programming fundamentals in SCADA - ICONICS Genesis 64 Software suite: BridgeWorX, ReportWorX, AnalytiX.
• Front end skills with proficiency in HTML, CSS3, JavaScript, jQuery, JSON, AJAX.
• Back-end skills with proficiency in Node.js, Python, or .NET.
• Experience building modern application stacks is a plus.
• Developing software in a variety of modern languages (e.g. JavaScript/React, Python, HTML5, CSS3, Node.js, .NET).
• Experience with common Amazon Web Services (AWS) functionality (Lambda, Fargate, DynamoDB, Timestream, S3, SNS, API Gateway) and/or Azure cloud services functionality is a plus.
• Experience with responsive web design and programming, including HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript is a plus.
• Experience with one or more of the following or similar technologies: NodeJS, Python, AngularJS, .NET framework is a plus.
• Bachelor’s in Computer Science or related field is required.
• Experience with database schema design, ingesting data and database access layers.
