Job summary

Martin Energy Group (MEG) is seeking an Automation Specialist at our Brownstown, PA facility to develop, program, and integrate control systems for CHP and power-generation units. You’ll collaborate with engineers and electricians to bring complex systems together from design through commissioning.

This role requires hands-on experience in industrial automation, PLC/HMI/SCADA, reading schematics, and strong troubleshooting.

Qualifications

• Experience in industrial automation and controls.
• Experience with PLC programming, HMI, or SCADA systems
• Ability to read and understand electrical schematics
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Experience with industrial equipment or power-generation systems is a plus
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Responsibilities

• Program and configure PLCs, HMIs, SCADA, and other control systems
• Develop control logic and sequences for CHP and power-generation systems
• Integrate engines, generators, switchgear, instrumentation, and other equipment
• Review electrical drawings, schematics, and I/O documentation
• Troubleshoot controls, communications, and instrumentation
• Assist with testing and commissioning of completed units
• Work closely with engineering and electrical teams throughout the build process

Martin Energy Group (MEG) is now in Brownstown, PA, operating from a 110,000 sq. ft. facility as we significantly expand our production capabilities. 221 Forney Dr. Ephrata, PA. 17522.

As an Automation Specialist at Martin Energy Group, you’ll develop, program, and integrate control systems for custom CHP and power-generation units manufactured in our facility. You’ll work closely with engineers and electricians to bring complex systems together, troubleshoot controls, and prepare completed units for testing and commissioning.

You’ll:

• Program and configure PLCs, HMIs, SCADA, and other control systems
