Job summary

Kendall Electric, part of The Kendall Group, is seeking an Automation Engineer Specialist to support the automation portfolio including Controllers, I/O, HMI, Safety Devices, Networks, Motion Control, VFDs, Motors, and mechanical components. This role reports to the Automation Sales Manager and emphasizes collaboration with customers and sales teams.

Ideal candidates have 2 years of hands-on electrical/mechanical knowledge, HS diploma, and strong communication skills to design control solutions

Qualifications

• 2 years of hands-on electrical/mechanical knowledge with PLCs, HMIs, Networks, Safety, Motion Control, VFDs.
• Education: High School diploma or GED.
• Analytics/Computing: ability to design control systems and collaborate with technical resources.
• Highly organized, detail-oriented, able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong cross-functional collaboration, internal/external customer service, and presentation skills.
• Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Physical requirements: sit, stand, walk, climb stairs, operate a vehicle.
• Exposure to warehouse and fabrication environments.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate commercial leadership and collaboration with automation manufacturing partners.
• Collaborate with Kendall Sales to develop business and close sales opportunities.
• Create BOMs with Kendall Inside Sales for quoting and order processing.
• Assist customers in selecting product solutions for applications and projects.
• Answer post-sale technical questions and manage commercial situations.
• Serve as a point of contact to manufacturing partners within the coverage area.
• Participate in annual planning with automation partners.
• Maintain quality service by adhering to Kendall Group policies and standards.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
