Job summary

Kendall Group is seeking a technically minded sales professional in Dayton, OH, to support the automation portfolio and collaborate with sales teams. You will help select product solutions, develop BOMs for quoting, and address post-sale technical questions.

Ideal candidates have hands-on electrical/mechanical experience, PLC/HMI knowledge, and a proven ability to work across cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Two years of hands-on electrical or mechanical knowledge.
• Experience with PLCs, HMIs, networks, safety, motion control, and VFDs.
• Understanding of manufacturing machinery, processes, networks, and analytics.
• High School diploma or GED.
• Ability to collaborate with commercial or technical resources.
• Strong problem solving, analytical, and written/verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a technical sales resource to customers, Outside Sales, and Inside Sales teams
• Support the Automation portfolio, including controllers, I/O, HMI, safety devices, networks, motion control, VFDs, motors, gearboxes, actuators, and couplings
• Demonstrate commercial leadership and collaborate with automation manufacturing partners
• Collaborate with Kendall Sales team to develop business and close sales opportunities
• Collaborate with Kendall Inside Sales to create BOMs for quoting, process orders, and service customers
• Help customers select product solutions for applications, projects, and other pre-sales activities
• Address customers’ post-sale technical questions, issues, and commercial situations
• Act as a point of contact for manufacturing partners within the coverage area
• Participate in annual planning with automation partners
• Maintain quality service by adhering to Kendall Group policies, procedures, and standards
• Perform other duties as assigned
