Job summary

Kendall Electric in Cincinnati, OH is seeking an Automation Engineer Specialist to join our sales-driven automation team. You will serve as a technical sales resource supporting customers, outside and inside sales, and partners, focusing on controllers, HMIs, networks, safety devices, and motion control.

You will collaborate to develop solutions, prepare BOMs, quote orders, and address post-sale technical questions while upholding Kendall's commitment to customer service and employee ownership.

Qualifications

• 2 years hands-on electrical/mechanical knowledge and experience with PLCs, HMIs, networks, safety, motion control, VFDs
• High School diploma or GED
• Ability to design control systems and collaborate with commercial/technical resources
• Highly organized and detail-oriented; able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
• Strong communication and presentation skills

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate commercial leadership and collaborate with automation manufacturing partners
• Collaborate with Kendall Sales to develop business and close sales opportunities
• Collaborate with Kendall Inside Sales to create BOMs for quoting, processing orders, and servicing customers
• Collaborate with customers on selecting product solutions for applications, projects, and other pre-sales activities
• Collaborate with customers on post-sale technical questions, issues, and/or commercial situations
• Be a point of contact to manufacturing partners within the coverage area
• Participate in annual planning with automation partners
• Maintain quality service by adhering to Kendall Group policies, procedures, and standards
• Perform other duties as assigned
