Job summary

CACI is seeking an Automation Software Engineer to join a dynamic team focused on transforming system security evaluation and authorization processes. The role emphasizes automation, continuous monitoring, and data gathering across backend services built with Python, Django/Flask, and microservices.

You will work with databases like MariaDB and MongoDB, deliver JSON to UI fronts, and contribute to design, code, and documentation of software enhancements.

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI w/ Polygraph required.
• 7+ years of software engineering experience in similar scope.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field; or 4+ years additional SWE experience in lieu of degree.
• Proficiency in Python and experience with Django or Flask.
• Experience with MongoDB or MariaDB and REST endpoint development.
• Understanding of microservices architecture.

Responsibilities

• Develop, test, deploy, and maintain Python-based REST endpoints, microservices, and data models using Django/Flask.
• Interact with MariaDB, MongoDB, PostgreSQL and return JSON to UI fronts.
• Provide middleware and backend support for system applications.
• Debug and fix defects; suggest process improvements.
• Design, code, integrate, and document software enhancements and data processing algorithms.
• Analyze performance and optimize software accordingly.
