Job summary

Automationtechies is seeking a Service Technician in Charlotte, NC to join its growing service organization. This hands-on role involves troubleshooting equipment, installing and repairing machinery, and helping customers maximize uptime.

You will work with customers, distributors, contractors, and internal teams to keep equipment operating and deliver effective service solutions. Travel to customer sites is expected as needed.

Qualifications

  • Hands-on troubleshooting and repair experience with mechanical systems.
  • Working knowledge of electrical and hydraulic components and drawings.
  • Strong customer service and communication skills for field support.
  • Ability to train customers, technicians and partners effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Install, inspect, repair, upgrade, and service customer equipment.
  • Troubleshoot electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical systems.
  • Read and interpret electrical and hydraulic drawings.
  • Provide telephone and field service support.
  • Train customers and service partners on equipment operation and maintenance.
  • Support machine installations, demonstrations, applications, and testing.
  • Resolve warranty issues and provide technical solutions.
  • Process and manage service work orders.
  • Develop relationships with service distributors and independent contractors.
  • Assist with on-site and off-site technical training programs.

Location: Charlotte, NC | Full-Time

Our client is looking for a Service Technician to join its growing service organization. This is a hands‑on role for someone who enjoys troubleshooting equipment, working with customers, installing and repairing machinery, and helping others develop their technical skills.

You’ll work with customers, distributors, contractors, and internal teams to keep equipment operating and deliver solutions when they need them.

What You’ll Do
  • Install, inspect, repair, upgrade, and service customer equipment
  • Troubleshoot electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical systems
  • Interpret electrical and hydraulic drawings
  • Provide telephone and field service support
  • Train customers and service partners on equipment operation and maintenance
  • Support machine installations, demonstrations, applications, and testing
  • Resolve warranty issues and provide technical solutions
  • Support parts sales and technical inquiries
  • Process and manage service work orders
  • Develop and maintain relationships with service distributors and independent contractors
  • Train and coach service personnel and help expand the service network
  • Support on‑site and off‑site technical training programs
  • Collect and report customer feedback and product quality issues
  • Install and support connected equipment and performance‑monitoring technology
  • Assist with trade shows and customer demonstrations
What You Bring
  • Hands‑on mechanical troubleshooting and repair experience
  • Working knowledge of electrical and hydraulic components
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical and hydraulic drawings
  • Strong customer service and communication skills
  • Ability to troubleshoot equipment in the field and by telephone
  • Ability to train customers, technicians, and service partners
  • Willingness to travel to customer sites as needed

Bandsaw or industrial machinery experience is a plus, but not required.
