Job summary

Parexel is seeking a Scientist II or II - Automation Scientist for a full-time, long-term assignment. The role is on-site at a client location in Rahway, NJ, with comprehensive benefits including 401(k) and paid time off.

The ideal candidate has laboratory experience and hands-on work with HPLC/UHPLC/MS, with a strong foundation in organic chemistry and automation platforms. The position emphasizes problem solving, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• MS or BS in chemical engineering, chemistry, biochemical engineering, or related field.
• Scientist 2: BS with 1-2 years of experience; MS with no experience.
• Scientist 3: BS with 3-5 years of experience; MS with 1-2 years of experience.

Responsibilities

• Execute automation workflows for high-throughput reaction screening and solid-dispensing.
• Execute robotic workflow for high-throughput execution and analysis.
• Maintain the laboratory space, stocking supplies, tidy work areas, and waste containers.
• Assist in the development and implementation of automation platforms for small-molecule process R&D.
