Job summary
Parexel is seeking a Scientist II or III Automation Scientist for a full-time, on-site role in Rahway, NJ. You will support automation-driven chemical process development and high-throughput screening for client projects.
The ideal candidate has lab experience with HPLC/UHPLC/MS and a strong foundation in organic chemistry. Collaboration and proactive problem-solving are essential as you contribute to platform improvements and automated workflows.
Qualifications
- BS or MS in chemical engineering, chemistry, biochemical engineering, or related field.
- Scientist II requires BS with 1–2 years experience; MS with no experience.
- Scientist III requires BS with 3–5 years experience; MS with 1–2 years experience.
Responsibilities
- Execute automation workflows for high-throughput reaction screening and solid-dispensing.
- Manage robotic workflows for high-throughput execution and analysis.
- Maintain the laboratory space, stocking supplies and managing waste.
- Assist in development and implementation of automation platforms for small-molecule R&D.
- Work with platforms from Tecan, Unchained Labs, Technobis, Mettler Toledo Quantos, Trajan Chronect, and similar systems.
