Job summary

Parexel is seeking a Scientist II or II – Automation Scientist for a full-time, on-site role at a client site in Rahway, NJ. The position emphasizes automation in small-molecule process R&D, high-throughput screening, and hands-on laboratory work with HPLC/UHPLC/MS systems.

The successful candidate will contribute to developing automated workflows, maintain lab operations, and collaborate across teams. Sponsorship is not available for this position.

Qualifications

• MS or BS in chemical engineering, chemistry, biochemical engineering, or related field
• Scientist 2: BS with 1–2 years experience; MS with no experience
• Scientist 3: BS with 3–5 years experience; MS with 1–2 years experience
• Hands-on experience with lab instrumentation and automation platforms

Responsibilities

• Execute automation workflows for high-throughput reaction screening and solid-dispensing
• Execute robotic workflow for high-throughput execution and analysis
• Maintain laboratory space and manage waste containers
• Assist in development and implementation of automation platforms for small-molecule process R&D
• Support platforms from Tecan, Unchained Labs, Technobis, Mettler Toledo Quantos, Trajan Chronect and similar systems
