Job summary

Adient US LLC in Bridgewater Interiors II is seeking a Dedicated Automation Technician to ensure the reliability and performance of automated manufacturing systems. This shift-based role performs preventive maintenance, responds quickly to downtime, and helps operators troubleshoot at a basic level.

The technician will document maintenance activity in CMMS, support root-cause analysis, and train operators on proper troubleshooting and escalation.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or associate degree preferred.
3+ years of industrial maintenance experience in automated manufacturing.
Ability to read electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and P&IDs.

Responsibilities

Perform scheduled preventive maintenance on robots, PLCs, conveyors, vision systems, and related components.
Diagnose faults across electrical, mechanical, controls, robotics, and networks to restore downtime quickly.
Record maintenance activities, parts, downtime, and failure modes in a CMMS.
Train operators on basic automation troubleshooting and escalation practices.
Escalate complex issues with evidence to Automation Engineering for root-cause analysis.
