Job summary

Allegion plc is seeking an Industrial Maintenance/Technical Specialist to support troubleshooting and repair of robotic, CNC, and automated systems in a manufacturing setting. You will assist in designing and improving production processes, install new equipment, and ensure documentation is accurate and up-to-date.

Work closely with engineers and a variety of functional teams to meet deadlines and safety standards.

Qualifications

Foundational knowledge in science or engineering gained via two years of technical school or college toward a Bachelor of Science
Background in Robotics, Mechatronics, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering is preferred
Strong CNC, PLC, robotics, automation, and controls experience
Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities; ability to work in team and independently
Excellent written and verbal communication; ability to read and follow procedures

Responsibilities

Assist maintenance with troubleshooting and repair of major technical issues
Program, install, commission, troubleshoot, repair and service robotic systems and CNC systems
Assist engineers with designing, testing and upgrading production processes
Help with new equipment installations and machine programming as needed
Develop and maintain process documentation (routings, standard work, work instructions, setup sheets, time studies)
Analyze proposed changes for manufacturing impact and feasibility and provide feedback
Collaborate with maintenance, operations, quality, materials, and other functions to foster a collaborative work environment
