Job summary
Johnson & Johnson is seeking a motivated Automation & Robotics Engineering Spring Co-op in Santa Clara to support development, testing, and deployment of automation solutions and intelligent manufacturing technologies.
You will work with experienced engineers on robotic systems, machine vision, edge computing, and IoT applications, contributing to continuous improvement across manufacturing processes and QA activities.
Qualifications
- Pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor's or Master's in Robotics/Mechatronics or related engineering discipline.
- Basic programming in Python, C++, or MATLAB.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and in a team.
Responsibilities
- Assist in design, development, testing, and deployment of automation and mechanized systems.
- Develop scripts and software to automate engineering workflows.
- Support system integration, validation, troubleshooting, and performance optimization.
- Participate in hardware/software testing, verification, and documentation.
- Assist with edge computing and IoT solutions for manufacturing and automation.
- Collect, analyze, and visualize data from automated equipment and processes.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including NPI, Manufacturing, Process, Quality, and Operations.
