Job summary

Hewlett Packard Enterprise is seeking a highly motivated Quality Automation Engineer to join the Mist Engineering team, focusing on cloud, UI, and REST API automation. This onsite role is based in Cupertino, CA, with five days per week in the office. You will design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks using Python, validate cloud and web services, and collaborate with software engineers to diagnose and fix defects.

U.S. citizenship is required.

Qualifications

2+ years of software engineering, automation engineering, quality engineering, or equivalent experience.
2+ years of Python programming with demonstrated experience developing software or automation solutions.
Experience designing, building, and maintaining automated testing frameworks.
Experience validating REST APIs and web applications.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks and tools using Python.
Create scalable automation solutions for validating cloud, web UI, and REST API functionality.
Develop test infrastructure to improve engineering productivity and product quality.
Collaborate closely with software engineers to identify, reproduce, troubleshoot, and resolve defects.
Analyze system behavior, logs, and telemetry to diagnose complex issues.
Build and maintain test environments, automation pipelines, and quality metrics.
Participate in feature reviews and provide feedback on testability and automation strategy.
