Job summary

Nordfab is seeking a Project Application Engineer to support an AGV/AGF project at our Thomasville, NC facility. The role involves hands-on installation, deployment, testing, and troubleshooting of automated equipment in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

The position lasts approximately 18 months with potential for full-time employment based on business needs. Initial training in Atlanta, GA is expected for 1 to 2 months.

Qualifications

  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Automation, Robotics, or a related technical field is preferred.
  • Experience with automation, robotics, AGV/AGF systems, forklifts, or industrial equipment is preferred.
  • Working knowledge of CAD and SolidWorks.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

  • Support onsite deployment, testing, debugging, and troubleshooting of AGV/AGF systems.
  • Monitor equipment performance and track project status.
  • Maintain project documentation and provide regular updates to the Project Manager.
  • Assist with project schedules, milestones, and implementation plans.
  • Coordinate with vendors and internal teams to resolve technical issues.
  • Communicate project status, risks, and issues to key stakeholders.
  • Support continuous improvement of automated equipment and processes.

Education

Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Automation, Robotics, or a related technical field
