Job summary
Schaefer's Electrical Enclosures, Inc. is seeking a Process Technician to assist process engineers in sustaining and improving manufacturing operations at our Scott City, Missouri site. You will support automation-based sustainment, troubleshoot systems, and drive uptime and efficiency improvements.
The role requires a strong background in industrial automation, PLC programming, and cross-functional collaboration to deliver measurable production results and maintain safety and quality standards.
Qualifications
- Strong understanding of industrial automation technologies and troubleshooting.
- Experience in a production environment with automation.
- Lean Manufacturing experience is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Monitor and maintain critical equipment to optimize processes and reduce downtime.
- Test and troubleshoot systems to resolve technical issues with minimal production disruption.
- Perform preventative maintenance, calibration and repairs for optimal performance.
- Program/configure PLCs, HMIs, robots, and automation equipment for designated tasks.
- Document equipment and troubleshooting guides for knowledge transfer.
- Provide training and technical support to production staff on system operation and maintenance.
