Job summary

American Trim seeks a Process/Quality Engineer to improve manufacturing processes, equipment performance, and overall facility operations. The role provides technical leadership in process optimization, automation, troubleshooting, continuous improvement, and new product launches while collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive productivity and quality.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in engineering, 3+ years in a high-volume automated manufacturing environment, and

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in engineering or technical discipline.
Minimum three years of experience with high-volume automated manufacturing.
Ability to synthesize complex information and design workflows.
Proficiency in electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic drawings.
Experience with GD&T, MSA, APQP, PPAP, FMEA, SPC.

Responsibilities

Responsible for equipment concept, quoting, design, debugging, and production.
Provide technical support and training to operations, tooling, maintenance, and outside vendors.
Troubleshoots problems with processes and hardware.
Work with PLCs, robots, and CNC equipment.
Provide technical support for health, safety, and environmental policies.
Lead continuous improvement projects to improve quality and output.
Order and track equipment purchases and ensure conformance to specs.
Assist in equipment safety inspections and improvements.
Support electrical controls, automation initiatives, and upgrades.
Maintain equipment records and project cost performance.
Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
