Job Title - Automation/Process Control Technician

Shift: PM Shift (6:00 PM - 6:30 AM), 2-2-3 Schedule
Role Overview
We are looking for a hands‑on Associate Manufacturing Systems Engineer to provide automation and technical engineering support for our Inspection & Packaging area. In this role, you’ll focus on optimizing equipment performance, troubleshooting PLCs, and keeping continuous production running smoothly in a GMP‑regulated environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Troubleshooting: Diagnose electrical and automation issues on packaging, inspection, and production equipment to minimize downtime.
- PLC & HMI Support: Read and interpret PLC ladder logic and support HMIs, sensors, drives, and industrial controls.
- Maintenance Collaboration: Partner with mechanical technicians and controls engineers to resolve complex equipment issues.
- Compliance & Quality: Support root cause analysis (CAPAs), equipment qualifications, and documentation (SOPs) in line with FDA/GMP standards.
Key Requirements & Skills
Must-Haves:
- Education/Experience: Bachelor’s in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Mechatronics, or related) OR equivalent automation experience + 2+ years in an Automation/Controls/Electrical Technician role.
- PLC Proficiency: Proven ability to read and interpret PLC ladder logic for troubleshooting.
- Electrical Diagnostics: Hands‑on experience with industrial control systems, VFDs, motors, and sensors.
- Equipment Experience: Familiarity with automated packaging, inspection, or manufacturing systems.
- Shift Readiness: Ability to work a 12-hour PM schedule (2-2-3 rotation).
Nice-to-Haves:
- Experience in GMP/FDA-regulated environments (Pharma, Biotech, Med Device).
- Familiarity with Allen-Bradley/Rockwell or Siemens platforms.
- Exposure to SCADA, vision systems, serialization, or robotics.
The pay rate ranges from $30 - $33/hr. on W2
