Job summary

Inscripta seeks a Process Control Engineer I to support design, configuration and commissioning of control systems. The role helps production teams to reduce downtime and improve processes and will be a key part of our engineering group on-site in Augusta, GA.

The candidate should hold a B.S. in engineering, have knowledge of PLC/HMI or DCS platforms, and demonstrate strong analytical, communication and teamwork skills while adhering to safety and GMP practices.

Qualifications

• B.S. degree in engineering.
• Knowledge of automation control platforms (PLC/HMI or DCS).
• Ability to follow instructions and support safe work practices.
• Ability to interact with facility staff, contract personnel and external vendors/customers.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

Responsibilities

• Interface with Production staff to develop new or improved process designs for control software and hardware.
• Provide technical support for control system configuration and process control parameter changes and troubleshooting.
• Work with engineering to implement designs and improvements.
• Develop, maintain, and proctor training procedures for console operators and process simulation.
• Maintain documentation per GMP guidelines.
• Develop knowledge of multiple site control systems (PLC and DCS) and provide backup support.
• Support site capital projects including scope, cost justification, control logic and commissioning.
• Support safety and quality initiatives through participation in teams and incident analysis.
