Job summary

Paylocity is seeking an Automation Technician to build and wire customized industrial control panels and to support projects from kickoff through field service. You will read schematics, mount components in enclosures, route wires, and ensure high-quality results while traveling to customer sites up to 15% of the time.

We require a high school diploma, basic computer literacy, and at least 1 year of experience with schematics and panel wiring.

Qualifications

Ability to read electrical schematics and wire panels.
Detail oriented with accuracy and quality.
Self-motivated and able to work with minimal direction.

Responsibilities

Attend kickoff meetings with Engineering and customers to understand project requirements.
Build and wire customized industrial control panels from schematics.
Layout, drill, punch, tap, and mount components in sheet metal enclosures.
Route and bundle wires neatly according to standards.
Complete projects within allocated hours and due date.
Ensure work meets project specifications and quality standards.
Escalate timeline or quality concerns to Account Lead.
Conduct field service work at customer sites (travel up to 15%).
Improve quality and productivity continuously.
Follow safety protocols and 6S guidelines.
Maintain clean work area and reliable attendance.
