Exotec Solutions SAS in Phillipsburg, NJ is seeking a Maintenance Assistant to support daily operation and upkeep of automated equipment, helping maximize system availability and safe operations for customers.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Respond to equipment jams on conveyors and workstations to minimize downtime.
• Support robot retrieval and recovery during downtime windows.
• Assist maintenance technicians with system availability, performance, and basic maintenance tasks.
• Promote proper equipment operating procedures with customer operators.
• Clean equipment and remove debris from work areas.
• Receive, label, prepare, transport, and count materials, supplies, and spare parts.
• Follow safety procedures, PPE requirements, LOTO practices, and complete required documentation.

What you’ll do

Operational support

• Respond to equipment jams on conveyors and workstations to minimize downtime.
• Support robot retrieval and recovery during downtime windows.
• Assist maintenance technicians with system availability, performance, and basic maintenance tasks.
• Promote proper equipment operating procedures with customer operators.

Equipment, materials, and safety

• Clean equipment and remove debris from work areas.
• Support setup, tooling changes, readiness tasks, and issue reporting.
• Receive, label, prepare, transport, and count materials, supplies, and spare parts.
• Follow safety procedures, PPE requirements, LOTO practices, and complete required documentation.

What to expect

• Job location: Phillipsburg, NJ
• Salary range: $19-22 per hour+ 8% annual bonus & benefits

Shift pattern

• 1st or 2nd shift front half (Monday to Thursday) and back half (Wednesday to Saturday)
• First shift is 6am to 4:30pm. Second shift is 12 to 10:30pm.
• Shift patterns will change to include Sundays during our client’s peak season.
• Shift patterns are subject to change.

• Basic mechanical aptitude, interest in industrial equipment, and ability to learn warehouse automation systems and maintenance procedures.
• Ability to follow work instructions, procedures, and maintenance schedules.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, and Excel.
• GED/high school diploma.

Professional skills

• Reliable, detail-oriented, and customer-focused, with strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Able to multitask in a fast-paced warehouse environment and eager to learn.

Physical requirements

• Use standard hand tools and lifts rated up to 250 lbs, including tools and equipment.
• Occasionally lift up to 50 lbs and work from heights up to 50 ft.
• Stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, reach overhead, and use manual dexterity to access and repair equipment.
