This position will support engineering team in identifying areas for automation and developing solutions to improve cycle time & quality of parts. Additionally, the engineer will also drive reliability initiatives such as developing equipment reliability plans, propose upgrades and oversee installations.**Essential Duties and Responsibilities:*** Partner with the Automation Engineering team to implement new automated systems, resolve technical issues ensuring seamless integration with existing processes and technologies.* Develop and implement equipment reliability strategies for both new and existing automated systems, focusing on predictive maintenance, equipment upgrade opportunities & automation integration.* Support the team in designing automation-centric plant layouts, work cells, incorporating systems thinking best practices to enable future growth* Develop project scopes, financial models, and ROI calculations for proposed automation and mechanical improvements.* Conduct engineering analyses and time studies on the shop floor for key processes, identify & recommend automation opportunities.* Coordinate cross-functional efforts to review, analyze, and model manufacturing process workflows, ensuring future state automated production systems meet reliability and layout requirements.**Culture**:* Display a positive attitude and strong work ethic that reflects the Mission and Core Values of Silfex.* Create and maintain a culture where workplace safety is part of everything we do.
