Qualifications

A growing advanced manufacturer is seeking an experienced Automation Manager to lead the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of automation systems supporting high-volume plastics manufacturing. This is a hands-on leadership opportunity focused on driving productivity, reliability, and innovation across automated production operations.

What You\'ll Do

• Lead automation initiatives supporting robotics, PLCs, conveyors, AGVs, and automated manufacturing systems.
• Drive process improvements that increase efficiency, quality, and equipment uptime.
• Troubleshoot complex automation issues and implement long-term corrective solutions.
• Partner with Operations, Engineering, and Maintenance to support capital projects and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Manage automation technicians, vendor relationships, and preventive maintenance strategies.

What We\'re Looking For

• 5+ years of automation leadership experience in a manufacturing environment
• Strong knowledge of PLCs, industrial robotics, conveyor systems, AGVs, and automated manufacturing equipment.
• Experience leading automation projects, troubleshooting controls, and implementing Lean manufacturing improvements.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and project management skills.
• Bachelor\'s degree in Engineering, Automation, or equivalent experience preferred.
