Job summary

Gap Inc. is seeking a maintenance technician to support daily facility operations in our New York area distribution center. You will provide floor coverage, perform preventative maintenance on warehouse equipment, and assist mechanics with repairs to ensure smooth product flow.

Responsibilities include troubleshooting conveyors, ASRS, balers, and related machinery, while following safety guidelines and using CMMS to document work orders. Opportunities for growth exist within the facility team.

Qualifications

Basic technical knowledge of MHE and automation in a distribution center environment.
Capable of multitasking, highly organized, with excellent time management skills.
Ability to perform general maintenance to include; painting, plumbing events, hanging of signs, bulb replacement and facility upkeep in a timely manner.

Responsibilities

Electrical troubleshooting of sensors and conveyors components for KDR system.
Monitor and troubleshoot ASRS, conveyors, load handling devices, cranes, shuttles.
Perform preventive maintenance inspections and create follow-up work orders in CMMS.
Inspect, rebuild and install sortation system carriers per SOPs.
Monitor and troubleshoot corrugate baler and other automated storage components.
Use hand and power tools on various projects.
Operate PIVs such as scissor lifts and boom lifts (height safety).
Follow safety standards and use HMI to monitor production machinery.
