Job summary

Saint-Gobain seeks a skilled Maintenance Technician to uphold and restore a complex automated manufacturing line at the Stephenville site. You will work with Allen-Bradley ControlLogix PLCs, servo drives, and fluid power components, ensuring electrical integrity and safety compliance.

Responsibilities include troubleshooting, repairing diverse subsystems, modifying equipment per engineering specs, and training other maintenance personnel.

Qualifications

• Two-year technical/electronic degree or 3-5 years progressive technical experience in manufacturing.
• Thorough knowledge of complex automated equipment including PLCs and related logic systems.
• Electrical knowledge and NFPA-70E qualified person designation.
• Ability to read engineering drawings and interpret SP data for performance evaluation.
• Experience operating shop equipment and forklifts; strong safety mindset.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair automated manufacturing line equipment to minimize downtime.
• Diagnose electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical issues; implement fixes per specs.
• Modify or fabricate components per engineering requirements.
• Train maintenance personnel and act as technical resource for teams.
• Participate in continuous improvement projects and Green Belt initiatives.
