Job summary

Kwik Trip, Inc. Maintenance Technicians are invited to join our team on the DeForest, WI campus to maintain and troubleshoot a range of automated process systems and support equipment.

Ideal candidates will have a solid mechanical and electronic background, experience with PLCs, and a hands-on approach to preventative maintenance, safety, and continuous improvement in a food retail environment. This role requires the ability to prioritize tasks, work independently or with a team, and communicate

Qualifications

• Automation experience and/or training is a plus.
• Experience working with Allen-Bradley PLCs and supporting control devices.
• Strong industrial electronic and mechanical background.
• Ability to work well alone and as part of a team.
• Strong interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills.
• Accurate and detail oriented.
• Willing to learn and perform a variety of job tasks.
• Ability to prioritize, delegate, and manage multiple projects/tasks.
• Ability to support and meet department deadlines.
• Possess good problem-solving skills.
• Ability to read, understand, and interpret schematics and manuals.
• Good working knowledge of hand and power tools.
• Welding experience is a plus.
• All candidates must be able to work safely and within food safety and regulatory standards.
• Knowledge of standard maintenance concepts, practices and procedures is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance procedures.
• Communicate with operators and management team.
• Ensure day to day productivity and operational efficiencies are achieved.
• Perform emergency maintenance as required.
• Coordinate with vendors for necessary repairs.
• Inspect facilities and equipment on a regular basis.
