Job summary

Aerotek in La Vergne, TN is seeking a Machine Builder to assemble custom automated equipment from blueprints, install conveyors and tooling, and align frames to design specs. You will read mechanical drawings, work with hydraulic and pneumatic systems, and perform precision assembly using hand and power tools in a climate-controlled shop on first shift.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of machine building or mechanical assembly experience.
• Reading and interpreting blueprints and mechanical drawings.
• Experience with automation equipment, robotics, conveyors, and industrial machinery.
• Strong mechanical aptitude with ability to diagnose and troubleshoot issues.
• Use precision measuring tools and hand/power tools for accurate assembly.

Responsibilities

• Assemble custom automated equipment from blueprints and drawings.
• Install and align frames, conveyors, guarding, tooling, and automation components.
• Integrate pneumatic components including cylinders, valves, manifolds.
• Support hydraulic and pneumatic systems with routing and testing.
• Troubleshoot mechanical issues during assembly and testing.
• Collaborate with engineering to resolve build issues and ensure quality.
