Job summary

RugPadUSA is seeking an Automation Line lead responsible for safely operating and coordinating the daily performance of the automation line, rotating across four machines, and serving as the first escalation point for line issues. You will monitor output, adjust settings with maintenance, document downtime, coach teammates, and ensure safety standards and 5S/Lean practices.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, 2+ years in manufacturing, and a mechanical aptitude to troubleshoot basic

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 2+ years in manufacturing/production with lead or trainer experience.
• Ability to rotate focus across four automation line machines.
• Mechanical aptitude for basic machine issues.
• Strong reading skills to follow work instructions and production schedules.
• Good communication and coaching abilities.
• Willingness to work overtime, weekends, or shift changes.

Responsibilities

• Operate, monitor, and rotate four automation line machines.
• Lead daily line startup and ensure safety checks.
• Coordinate line work and material loading.
• Monitor output, line speed, and downtime; troubleshoot jams.
• Document counts, downtime reasons, quality issues, and shift notes.
• Coach teammates on safe operation and standard work.
• Maintain 5S/Lean standards and participate in continuous improvement.
