Job summary

FabLogix seeks an Automation Lead to champion robotic and automated fabrication cells, owning uptime, performance, and data flow to the cells. You will train operators, manage maintenance, and serve as the primary technical contact with OEMs for troubleshooting and support.

Reporting to Production Manager and collaborating with Engineering, you will ensure throughput, quality, and safe operations while expanding automation value as the company scales.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or technical certificate in automation or related field.
• 4+ years operating, programming, or maintaining industrial robots or automated fabrication equipment (e.g., FANUC, ABB).
• Ability to read drawings, spool isometrics, welding symbols.
• Experience with offline programming and data transfer to CNC/robot equipment.

Responsibilities

• Own robotic and automated cell uptime and performance.
• Monitor downtime, root causes, and utilization; report trends.
• Diagnose faults and restore production quickly.
• Maintain spare parts lists and coordinate with Procurement.
• Develop preventive maintenance per OEM recommendations.
• Manage cell software interface and file libraries.
• Train operators and develop SOPs and training matrices.
• Collaborate with OEMs and engineering on upgrades.
• Enforce safety and ensure welding procedure compliance.
