Dash Bio in Waltham, MA seeks an on-site Lab Technician to join our Automation team. You will execute automated workflows, operate liquid handling systems, and manage sample flow and inventory to keep our high-velocity lab on schedule.

This role sits at the intersection of biology and technology; you’ll learn how robots, software, and data stream together, contribute to SOP improvements, and collaborate with software, hardware engineers and scientists.

Qualifications

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Bioengineering, Biology, Biotechnology, Robotics, or a related field.
• 0–2 years of experience in a laboratory setting. Direct experience with Hamilton Venus or other liquid handling software is a significant plus.
• Operational Excellence: routine, standardized work and proactive process improvements.
• Attention to Detail: high precision in pipetting and sample tracking.
• Communication: on-site collaboration with cross-functional teams.

Responsabilités

• System Operation: Execute validated, high-throughput workflows on automated liquid handling platforms (Hamilton STAR/Vantage, etc.).
• Queue Management: Own the daily production queue and ensure targets are met.
• Accessioning & Logistics: Manage intake and accessioning of biological samples with data integrity.
• Hardware Troubleshooting: Basic maintenance and initial troubleshooting of automation hardware.
• Continuous Improvement: Work with senior engineers to refine SOPs and production-readiness.
• Data Integrity: Ensure runs are logged and samples match digital twins.
