Job summary

Maverick Group US LLC is seeking a PLC Programmer / Automation Integration Engineer in Syracuse, NY. This hands-on role focuses on programming, integrating, and commissioning industrial automation systems, including PLCs, robots, HMIs, networking, and diagnostics.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years in industrial automation, strong IEC 61131-3 skills, and experience with robot integration. Occasional travel and onsite customer work are required to support installations and startups.

Qualifications

3+ years hands-on PLC programming in industrial automation or systems integration.
Experience with IEC 61131-3 programming environments including Ladder Logic/Structured Text.
Experience integrating PLCs with robots, conveyors, HMIs, sensors, drives and other equipment.

Responsibilities

Program and modify PLC control systems (IEC 61131-3).
Develop and modify HMI/SCADA applications for operation, diagnostics, alarms, recipes, and monitoring.
Integrate robots and cobots into production systems.
Configure industrial networks and protocols (EtherNet/IP, EtherCAT, Modbus TCP).
Commission automation systems at factory and customer sites.
Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, controls, and software issues; determine root causes.
