Job summary
Gilder Search Group seeks an experienced PLC Programmer / Automation Integration Engineer to design, program, integrate, troubleshoot, and commission industrial automation systems. The role covers PLC programming, robot and cobot integration, HMI development, networking, and field service across customer sites and the company facility.
The candidate will work on multiple platforms, travel 25–40% domestically, and join a hands‑on, growth‑oriented team in Syracuse, New York with some remote work
Qualifications
- 3+ years of hands‑on PLC programming in industrial automation, controls, manufacturing or systems integration.
Responsibilities
- Program and modify PLC control systems using Ladder Logic, Structured Text, SFC and IEC 61131-3.
- Develop and modify HMI/SCADA applications for machine operation, diagnostics, alarms, recipes, and system monitoring.
- Integrate industrial robots and collaborative robots into automated production systems.
- Configure and troubleshoot communication between PLCs, robots, cobots, CNCs, conveyors, HMIs, sensors, drives and other equipment.
- Integrate industrial networks and protocols including EtherNet/IP, EtherCAT, Modbus TCP and similar technologies.
- Commission automation systems at customer sites and provide remote troubleshooting when needed.
