Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in CS/Engineering/Math with 1 year of related experience, or 3 years equivalent.
• Experience with large-scale distributed applications and services.
• Experience provisioning platforms using shell scripting.
• Proficiency with SQL, PowerShell, Perl, Bash, Python, PHP, or Ruby.
• Experience maintaining database servers such as MySQL or Oracle.
• Experience troubleshooting in Windows/Linux/Unix environments.

Responsibilities

• Build tools that automate and streamline fleet operations.
• Respond to large-scale events involving fleets.
• Diagnose and fix critical software and system failures.
• Mentor engineers and train new engineers.
• Provide day-to-day first-line support for operational tickets.
• Propose and implement automation to improve efficiency and scalability.
• Query databases using SQL on Windows/Linux/Unix systems.
• Support internal Amazon customers.
