Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Statistics, Mathematics, or related field; one year of experience in the job offered or related occupation.
• Employer will accept three years of experience in the job offered or related occupation as equivalent to the Bachelor's degree and one year of experience.
• Experience with supporting large-scale, multi-tiered, distributed software applications, tools, systems, and services; shell scripting provisioning; programming in SQL, PowerShell, Perl, Bash, Python, PHP, or Ruby; maintaining database servers like MySQL or Oracle; troubleshooting in Windows, Linux, or Unix environments.

Responsibilities

• Build tools that automate and streamline processes to make fleet operations more efficient.
• Respond to large scale events involving these fleets.
• Diagnose and fix critical software and system failures.
• Mentor and train other engineers; support daytime operational tickets across software teams.
• Propose and implement automation, efficiency and scalability solutions.
• Partner with software teams to support infrastructure and perform SQL queries (SQL Server, MySQL, Oracle).
