Scrive is seeking a QA Engineer for a 1-year fixed term contract to drive an automation-first testing approach for our SaaS web apps. You will write automated scripts with Playwright in JavaScript/TypeScript, perform manual validation, and work with cross-functional squads to improve quality and reliability.

We value strong debugging skills, fluent English, and a proactive, exploratory testing mindset. Experience with API/backend testing (Python/pytest) and performance/security testing is a plus.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience testing web apps in SaaS.
• Balanced manual and automated testing with an automation-first mindset.
• Strong debugging and analytical skills; proactive exploratory testing.
• Fluent English communication for reporting and updates.
• Bonus: API/back-end testing with Python/pytest; performance or security tools; fast-paced growth.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain automated tests using JavaScript/TypeScript and Playwright.
• Perform manual testing and feature validation to cover gaps where automation is not yet enough.
• Collaborate with developers, product managers, and QA peers to raise quality.
• Identify, log, and troubleshoot issues; document steps to reproduce in Jira.
