Job summary

Adaptec Solutions LLC in California seeks a Field Service Technician II to keep conveyors, sorters, motors, gearboxes and other critical equipment running at peak performance. This hands-on role installs, maintains and repairs electro-mechanical systems in high-volume warehouses.

Travel is required within home territory with some overnights; wage range $31.50–$41.10 per hour, with overtime rules. After one year, opportunities for advanced training (PLC, FANUC robotics) and career advancement are

Qualifications

• HSD/GED or equivalent is required.
• Strong electro-mechanical reasoning ability is required.
• 5 years of troubleshooting and repair of mechanical equipment and 2 years of troubleshooting and repair of electrical equipment is required.
• Rigger, Millwright, Machine Builder experience is also acceptable.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics and detailed repair drawings related to material handling equipment.

Responsibilities

• Perform installations, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on electro-mechanical material handling equipment.
• Respond to emergency calls within territory; occasional travel outside home territory may be required.
• Perform mechanical work including fabricating, welding, and painting.
• Carry out maintenance on machinery at client sites as scheduled.
• Document all work performed in service reporting system and communicate status to clients and leadership.
