Job summary

Abbott in Madison, WI seeks a LAS Operations Training Specialist I to design, facilitate, and perform training for new and existing LAS team members and equipment users. You will shadow the equipment service team to expand knowledge and update training materials, assessments, and competencies, ensuring learners meet required proficiency.

The role requires coordinating with trainers, delivering diverse training modalities, and maintaining training records and documentation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or related field with 2+ years of training experience, or Associate Degree with 2+ years and High School Diploma with 4+ years of relevant experience.
• 2+ years of experience as a technical trainer, corporate trainer, or related training experience.
• 2+ years of experience servicing laboratory or medical equipment.
• Strong understanding of instructor-led, virtual instructor-led, technical, and/or hands-on/on-the-job training.
• Strong computer skills including internet navigation, email, word processing, and data/records management.

Responsibilities

• Schedule, communicate, and lead technical training classes.
• Identify and adapt training style to meet learner needs.
• Build customer relationships and deliver classroom instruction, in-lab coaching, and on-the-job training.
• Evaluate training effectiveness and respond to technical questions as needed.
• Assist in retraining employees and maintain training documentation.
• Develop training materials and ensure records comply with policies.
