These are hands‑on roles within a forward‑thinking organisation that combines electrical engineering, automation, and energy innovation to deliver high‑impact industrial projects across manufacturing, food & beverage, and renewable energy sectors.

As an Automation Engineer, you’ll be responsible for the software design, implementation, and support of automation and process control system projects — from new installations to system upgrades and ongoing customer support.
You’ll take ownership of the full lifecycle: programming, commissioning, troubleshooting, and start‑up of automation systems at client sites. Activities are often performed on‑site at customer facilities, requiring a blend of technical skill, independence, and collaboration.
Key responsibilities include:
- Designing, programming, and commissioning PLC/HMI systems for automation and process‑control projects.
- Programming using Rockwell Studio 5000, RSLogix 500/5000, FactoryTalk ME/SE, PanelView, and related technologies.
- Developing code from scratch, implementing modifications, and supporting integration and start‑up.
- Reading and interpreting control schematics, P&IDs, and process flow diagrams.
- Configuring and commissioning VFDs, managing switch setups, and assisting with basic IT connectivity (ports, firewalls, networks).
- Leading or contributing to site start‑ups, troubleshooting, and service support under pressure.
- Working both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team that includes Systems Architects, Project Engineers, and other Automation Engineers.
- Participating in an after‑hours on‑call rotation to support customer operations.

You will bring:
- An Associate Degree in Automated Manufacturing, Electro‑Mechanical Technology, EET, or similar (BS Engineering also considered).
- A valid driver’s licence and the ability to travel 25–50%.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and general PC literacy.
- Excellent troubleshooting and analytical thinking skills.
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative, solutions‑oriented attitude.
Automation Engineer II: 3–7 years of PLC/HMI programming and system start‑up experience.
Automation Engineer III: 10+ years of advanced programming, commissioning, and leadership experience, including mentoring others and owning project start‑ups independently.
