The Automation Engineering Specialist 1 supports Product Development and Engineering through building test systems and automating product testing. The Test Automation Group designs, builds, and automates the mechanical and electrical systems of new and existing test lab systems. Developing mechanical mechanisms, generating mechanical parts (CAD), basic programming (PLCs, Robots, etc.), wiring, and debugging are the normal tasks that are done on a regular basis. An ideal candidate has a strong aptitude for developing mechanical and electrical solutions based on a given challenge or requirement.
AS degree (preferred) in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Machine Tool Technology, or a similar/equivalent field experience undefined undefined 0–3 years of relevant lab or technical experience preferred.
Ability to travel 5%
Maintain stationary position around 50% of time for computer work. Must be able to lift 50 pounds on occasion. Regular talking and hearing. Regular typing on a keyboard. Frequent standing and walking indoors and outdoors. Occasional stooping and bending.
