Job summary

United Pharma is seeking a Manufacturing Automation Engineer to design, deploy, and manage automation strategies that boost production efficiency and quality in a regulated environment.

You will lead multidisciplinary teams, coordinate with stakeholders, and ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards while optimizing plant assets and processes.

Qualifications

Job description

• Develop and deploy automation or digital strategies that improve business outcomes.
• Select, scope, and implement appropriate automation or digital solutions.
• Manage programs and coordinate with stakeholders, vendors, manufacturers, research bodies, industry groups, and public organizations.
• Provide engineering support to optimize plant equipment, machinery, and processes.
• Administer maintenance management software and ensure compliance with OSHA and applicable environmental regulations.
• Prepare validation, user requirements, equipment specifications, project expenditure requests, and project justification documents.
• Promote Lean Manufacturing and improve processes and procedures to produce quality products at minimum cost.
• Develop automation concepts, equipment requirements, project scopes, timelines, savings estimates, and cost estimates.
• Lead engineers, project teams, team meetings, and multidisciplinary initiatives.
• Manage project cost accounting and deliver projects on schedule and within budget.
• Maintain machine and plant equipment drawings.
• Research and implement new technologies and methodologies.
• Present project justifications to management and customers to obtain approvals.
• Provide training and maintain a strong customer-service focus while meeting production and quality standards.
• Follow all safety, quality, regulatory, and company policies.

Education Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Manufacturing Automation, or Technology.
• Minimum 8 years of experience in manufacturing, engineering, automation, and/or information technology within an automated production manufacturing environment.
• Experience with complex manufacturing OT/IT systems integration and successful implementation of complex integrations.
• Experience leading day-to-day project activities across multidisciplinary teams.
• Extensive operations experience, preferably in the medical device or regulated sector.
• Experience managing complex, multistakeholder global programs.
• Some validation experience with computer systems, equipment, and processes.
