Job summary

Compunnel, Inc. is seeking an Automation Developer with a development-heavy background to build software automation for out-of-home Wi-Fi and public hotspots. The role spans AAA policy/code, Nokia WAG, access points, wireless controllers, and deployment automation.

The ideal candidate has hands-on scripting and software development experience with Python, Bash, Ansible, and Terraform, plus Linux administration and database familiarity, and a willingness to validate AI-generated outputs.

Qualifications

• 3–7 years of experience in software development and automation.
• Hands-on scripting with Bash, Python, or similar languages.
• Ability to build automation solutions, not just run QA tests.
• Strong Linux administration and troubleshooting, especially Red Hat.
• Proven Ansible experience—writing and maintaining playbooks/roles.
• Proven Terraform experience—modules, providers, and state management.
• Practical Cassandra and Oracle experience, including basic admin tasks.
• Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and systems engineering skills.
• Ability to work across multiple projects and initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain automation solutions, scripts, playbooks, and tooling to reduce manual work and errors.
• Build and support automation for out-of-home Wi‑Fi, public hotspots, AAA policy/code, Nokia WAG, access points, and deployments.
• Develop and maintain Ansible playbooks and Terraform modules, providers, and state configurations.
• Perform Linux systems administration and troubleshooting to support automation in Red Hat environments.
• Work with Cassandra and Oracle databases for querying, basic administration, and support.
• Collaborate across initiatives while supporting development and automation priorities.
• Use AI tools to assist with development, scripting, and troubleshooting while validating output.
