Job summary

Nucor Towers & Structures Utah (NTSUT) is seeking an Automation Engineer to own automation and electrical functions at the Brigham City facility. You will work with state-of-the-art controls, robotics, and manufacturing cells to maximize machine productivity and support integration of robots into production processes.

The role requires a STEM degree, hands-on PLC/HMI experience, travel for training to other NTS sites, and a commitment to safety.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in STEM or equivalent work experience.
• Diverse background in PLCs, HMIs, and industrial controls.
• Ability to travel for training and alignment with other NTS sites.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and upgrade automation systems at key points in the production process.
• Troubleshoot non-functioning components including servos, sensors, and control components.
• Program and troubleshoot PLCs, HMIs, and robotic systems.
• Attend automation, robotics, and equipment supplier training.
• Demonstrate safety leadership and uphold safety policies at all times.
