Job summary

Steelscape Washington, LLC is seeking an Automation Engineer to direct the design and installation of robotic and automation systems, while maintaining up-to-date technical information and safety standards.

You will lead equipment procurement, support feasibility studies, and train operations staff, ensuring robust security protocols and integration with OT/IT networks. This role requires strong project leadership in a heavy manufacturing setting.

Qualifications

BS degree in Electrical Engineering with 3+ years in automation/robotics projects.
PE certification is preferred and valued for lead roles.
Experience in heavy manufacturing automation projects with cost and performance success.

Responsibilities

Act as project leader on new equipment procurement, installation, commissioning and training.
Lead feasibility studies for new robotic or automation equipment.
Direct maintenance, reliability and performance activities to meet targets.
Train operations and maintenance users in new systems operations and maintenance.
