Job summary

Howmet Aerospace Inc. is seeking an Automation Engineer to drive development and programming of new manufacturing technology for Howmet Engines.

You will support current systems, collaborate with design teams, plant automation technicians, operators, and vendors, and guide the implementation of equipment into production with PMs and spare parts planning. The role emphasizes system integration of ADR with robotics, PLCs, MES/SCADA, data analysis of defect trends, and driving Lean/Industry 4.0

Qualifications

• BS degree in Mechanical, Electrical or Industrial/Manufacturing Engineering or Engineering Technology.
• Minimum 2 years automation experience.
• Willingness to travel 25-50%.
• US work authorization; visa sponsorship not available.

Responsibilities

• Develop and program new advanced manufacturing equipment.
• Support automation technicians across multiple facilities.
• Improve existing processes with engineering and manufacturing teams.
• Coordinate robotic service visits.
• Ensure software control and data integrity.
• Validate ADR and NDT systems with calibration.
• Lead root cause investigations and corrective actions.
