Job summary

Rankin Automation is seeking an Application Engineer to support the sales team with technical expertise in robotics, pneumatics, motion control, sensors, and safety devices. The role focuses on solving manufacturing problems and traveling regionally to visit clients.

You will design and troubleshoot pneumatic/electromechanical solutions, assist sales with product positioning, and communicate engineering concepts to customers and staff. Office in Conshohocken, PA; travel required.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or technical degree in a relevant field.
Two or more years of industrial automation application or design engineering experience.
Prior use of Microsoft Office tools.

Responsibilities

Assist engineering and production team in building robotic/pneumatic/electromechanical solutions.
Design, configure, and troubleshoot pneumatic/electromechanical solutions.
Assist customers in choosing the right solution/components for their application.
Assist salespeople in learning the products and positioning them in the market.
Work with collaborative robots, grippers, and sensors to create automation solutions at client sites.
Provide presentations to customers and internal staff on engineering solutions.
